Mirrors, Faucets and Paint...Shoot Me

We have finally settled on some of the accents to our bathroom. We had a hard time with the lights and the mirror for that matter. We want a very minimalist look to the room. We don't want any one feature to stand out and steal the spot light so when it came to lights, we were very specific on what we wanted. We knew we wanted clear glass for an Edison bulb and chrome plates. Well, that is easier said than done. But this is what we chose...

This was a tough purchase because we knew we wanted a pivot mirror but didn't want it to be too modern. We aren't modern and this particular piece wasn't going to going to determine that. Also, mirrors are very expensive. The ones we really liked were from Restoration Hardware and were about $500 for one just like this one. The mirror has shipped already and should be here by the end of the week. Exciting stuff.

Next up was the faucet. I definitely knew what I wanted here too but finding it was difficult because they can get a little pricey too.

We ended up with exactly what we wanted and saved a little money too. Yay, us!

Now we have to decide on paint. I'm not even sure where to begin on that one. Any suggestions would be nice!!

  1. are you doing a theme? I always liked blue or yellow in a bathroom...

  2. Are going to use the same shower curtain or get a new one. I would pick a shade from the curtain.

  4. Where did you get that mirror? I might need to pick up one of my own.

We just redid one bathroom very minimalist. Because everything, including floor and cabinets, are a shade of white, we threw a smoky blue on the walls. I am a huge fan.

    1. The mirror is the Gatco Marina Mirror from Wayfair.com. I'll do a post later with links of where we got everything. I'm thinking an icy blue for the walls.
