Dialogue

Sometimes people don't believe me when I tell them some of the things B says to me. So, I decided I would just make a blog post of some of the more recent ones.

This is B.

One the way to the Keys.

B: Man, I forgot to shave my toes for the trip.

Same trip a little later.

B: I think I'm going to shave a little bit below my nose.

Me: Why is that?

B: Because I want to get a good suction with my goggles. If I don't, then my goggles will fill up with water, I'll begin to drown, which will make me flail about. That will attract a shark and then I'll get eaten. I don't want to get eaten.

A few nights ago talking about the dog.

Me: I think Bonnie gets her night preferences from me. You know, she likes to sleep all day and roam about at night like I do.

B: Hun, I think they call ladies of the night Hookers.

Quite some time ago at the beach driving around.

Me: Isn't it beautiful down here? The weather is so amazing!

B: Yeah yeah. Do I have a booger up my nose?

Gotta love that B!

Gardening!!!

Hey everyone! Sorry it has been so long since I've posted. Things have been a little busy lately with me and B. Now B is gone on a business trip.... whatever will I do with my night? Oh, chinese, Golden Girls and the 16 and Pregnant premiere.

Last week I wanted to post about my newly blooming garden. Who said you can't have a garden in a one bedroom apartment?

Check out my tomatoes!!!! I'm so excited about those. Last year we tried growing romas and they turned out to be more like cherry tomatoes. This year we're going to try a bigger pot and see how it goes.

WHOOOOOOO!!!! That's my sweet little basil plants. 4 of 'em. I'm so happy they've all come up. There are four plants between the basil and tomatoes that haven't yet come up. It's supposed to be cilantro but don't worry, since I noticed it was having a growth delay, I began talking to them and convincing them the world isn't a horrible place and that one day they would be put to use in my yummy salsa. I'm not sure that helped..... *tap tap* Are you still listening?

I also made a trek to Lowe's over the weekend and bought up a few plants that will be planted on my porch. I'll be posting about those later as I find them homes.

Also, I'll be posting my first recipe this week while B is gone. I made it for him this past weekend for dinner and he LOVED it.

Um.... yum.

Hopefully I'll stay on track a little more after this.

Welcome Back, Spring!

Hey everyone! Today is a big day because...... IT'S MY FIRST POST!!!! I started a blog last year while I was planning my wedding. B and I had a destination wedding at the beach so we thought a blog would be fun to keep our family and friends updated. Here's a quick picture.

Now I'm really excited to start a blog again. I had so much fun blogging before that I kind of missed it. I wanted to start earlier but after the wedding, we had to move back into our apartment and then I had to find my very first nursing job. Now that I've landed that and things have begun to slow down, I thought I would give it a whirl again. And I figured it would be fun to squeeze it in seeing how the world is supposed to end in December.

On this blog you'll find a few different subjects which include, but are not limited to, cooking, photography (amateur), Bonnie, random happenings in our lives and of course.... ME AND B!!!!!

Have you been outside lately? I'm not sure where you live, but here in the south, we've had a crazy winter. First of all, it never got stupid cold like it normally does and now we're in mid March and are experiencing temperatures in the high 70's. Silly mother nature. I took advantage of this beautiful weather and decided to snap some pictures of the tree outside our apartment.

Isn't it pretty!? I've also started my very small garden that will eventually grow on my porch. More about that another time, I'm currently doctoring on what I'm beginning to think is a pretty gnarly shin splint.

Any way, hope everyone takes advantage of the gorgeous weather and spends some time outside.
